AIKYAM Day 1 Curated Curiosities

The highly anticipated Aikyam, a student-led design festival, commenced with great enthusiasm and fanfare. Aikyam, embodying the essence of reuniting creativity, emphasizes core connections, inspirations, and values in the realm of design. The festival is dedicated to shaping a positive design culture, fostering connections, and promoting ethical and impactful design practices.

The day began with an auspicious inauguration ceremony. The lighting of the Diya by our honorable directors symbolized the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of creativity and knowledge. This symbolic act set the tone for a day filled with inspiration and innovation.

The inauguration was graced by two outstanding performances that captivated the audience. First, the audience was entertained by a mesmerizing classical dance performance. The graceful movements and intricate choreography beautifully blended tradition with contemporary flair. Following this, a dynamic musical performance by our talented musicians had everyone on their feet, adding a vibrant and energetic note to the event.

The day continued with a heartfelt expression of gratitude towards our directors for their unwavering support and presence. Their encouragement and guidance have been instrumental in making Aikyam a reality.

Attendees were then invited to explore the vibrant flea market at the Bhawar Building, where a variety of creative stalls showcased innovative designs and unique products. Simultaneously, workshops held at the Design Studio in the IDS basement offered interactive sessions, encouraging collaboration and hands-on learning.

The success of the day would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our faculty members, whose efforts in hosting the event were deeply appreciated. Special thanks were also extended to our sponsors, Aagam Xerox and Pranil Education, whose generous contributions helped bring this event to life.
