ServiceNow appoints Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as MD and GVP for India and SAARC region

ServiceNow, a leading provider of digital workflow solutions, has announced the appointment of Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as its Managing Director and Group Vice President for India and the SAARC region. Effective January 6, 2025, Ganesh will lead the company’s operations in the region, focusing on accelerating growth and driving digital transformation initiatives.

Ganesh brings a wealth of leadership experience to the role, having previously served as CEO of Airtel’s domestic B2B business and President and Managing Director of Dell India. His impressive career also includes stints as Chief Operating Officer at Capillary Technologies and Senior Advisor at EY, showcasing his expertise in driving innovation and operational excellence across diverse industries.

Commenting on the appointment, Detlef Krause, President APAC at ServiceNow, said, “India remains a key priority for ServiceNow, and Ganesh’s expertise and leadership will further enhance our ability to deliver value to our customers in this dynamic market.”

Expressing his enthusiasm, Ganesh said, “India is a critical market for ServiceNow, and I’m excited to lead the team through its next chapter of growth, driving innovation and delivering transformative results for our customers.”

Ganesh will be based in Bengaluru, leading ServiceNow’s business teams across India. The country holds strategic importance for ServiceNow, serving as a key technical hub for the company. The India Technology and Business Centre, located in Bengaluru, is the company’s largest center outside the United States, contributing significantly to global operations. Over 40% of ServiceNow’s product engineering originates from India, highlighting the region’s pivotal role in the company’s innovation journey.

India also accounts for more than 20% of ServiceNow’s global workforce, with one in three engineers based in the country. The India Technology and Business Centre, under the leadership of Sumeet Mathur, continues to drive platform innovation and support ServiceNow’s global objectives.

Ganesh holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from Anna University, a master’s degree from Alagappa University, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan. His academic and professional credentials make him well-equipped to lead ServiceNow’s operations in India and SAARC, driving further growth and innovation in the region.

This appointment underscores ServiceNow’s commitment to expanding its presence in India, leveraging the region’s talent and technological capabilities to deliver transformative solutions to its customers worldwide.
