India MedTech Expo 2025 will be held from 4-6 September at Bharat Mandapam

MedTech Expo 2025: The capital Delhi is going to host a big event in September this year to showcase the progress and global leadership potential of India’s medical technology sector. The second edition of India MedTech Expo 2025 will be held from 4 to 6 September 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan. The event is part of the India Health 2025 initiative and is being jointly organized by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Medical Device Export Promotion Council (EPCMD) and CDSCO.

Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada will inaugurate the exhibition. Apart from this, many top officials and industry experts will also participate in the event, including Amit Agarwal (Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals), Nitin Kumar Yadav (Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce) and Dr. Rajiv Singh Raghuvanshi (DCGI).

Theme and highlights of the exhibition

This time the theme of the fair is – “India: Global MedTech Manufacturing Hub, Precision Engineering yet Affordable”.

In this three-day expo:

  • MSMEs, start-ups and research institutes will present their achievements.
  • Future innovation pavilions and government initiatives will be showcased.
  • Events like CEO roundtable, thematic conference, state-based sessions and fireside chats will be organized.
  • B2B meetings and reverse buyer-seller meets will promote partnerships between industry and investors.

India’s MedTech industry growing rapidly

According to Praveen Kumar Mittal, Executive Director, EPCMD, India’s medical device industry is currently worth around $15 billion and is expected to reach $30 billion by 2030. More than 800 start-ups, strong research base and advanced manufacturing capabilities are establishing India as not only a consumer market but also a global innovation and export hub.

International participation

  • More than 150 foreign buyers from over 30 countries will participate in it.
  • More than 350 companies will present their products and technologies in the exhibition.
  • Experts from institutions like IIT, IISc, AIIMS, ICMR, NITI Aayog and World Bank will share their views.
  • The event will have six special pavilions – MSME, Future, Research, Government, State and Start-ups.

Strengthening India’s global position

This expo will underline India’s strategy to make the country a global medical technology manufacturing hub. Not only will this create new partnerships and investment opportunities, but the event will also advance the goal of India Vision 2047 – affordable and accessible healthcare.
