Design and display

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 review: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 review: The design of this device is enough to make anyone crazy about it. When you open the box, you will find the phone in an unfolded state that mesmerises you with a “huge screen”. And on being folded, it turns quite handy. However, it might be heavy in terms of weight for some users but in the perspective of design and display the weight can be ignored easily. The size of the main display is 7.6 inches with the OLED panel makes its quality great. Samsung is also offering a refresh rate of 120Hz in this device so that the phone can perform quite smoothly. The big screen makes multitasking easier as you can use up to three apps simultaneously.

Samsung is giving a 6.2-inch cover display on the device. The single display is also able to complete all the tasks you want to perform. Another amazing thing is that the company is also offering a refresh rate of 120Hz in the cover display of the phone. A big advantage of this cover screen smartphone is that it will make your phone’s battery last longer. The device also has the Flex Mode to display the content at the top of the screen when it is half-folded and the controls are displayed at the bottom.

On the back panel of the smartphone, you will get to see a big camera bumper. With the big camera bump, the device shakes on a flat surface. Camera bump has three cameras in a vertical design of LED flash. Moreover, the matte finish at the rear panel enhanced the user’s experience. Also, there is no fingerprint on the back panel.

Excellent performance

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 review: The device comes with a specification of 12GB RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. However, we reviewed the 256 GB internal storage version. In terms of performance, the phone wins the top spot. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset that gives great multitasking and gaming experience. Significantly, the touch makes you feel like a legend with a good response. Samsung is offering Android 12 on this device.

A smartphone for photography enthusiasts

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 review: In terms of camera quality, Samsung has done a lot of work on this phone. The manufacturer is giving three rear cameras with LED flash out of which the primary is 50 megapixels. This gives strong competition to iPhone 13 Pro Max in terms of photography. The 50-megapixel primary camera comes with a 23% brighter sensor. The photo output of the primary camera is very clear and it does not tamper with the actual brightness and colours.

Samsung is also offering a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens in the Galaxy Z fold 4. The telephoto lens of the device comes with three times optical zoom and 30 times space zoom.

Nightography feature for low-light photography is also an attraction. Moreover, you can click hands-free photos with the help of the flex mode.

Strong battery back-up

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 review: There are three screens on the device — two on the inside and one on the outside connected with a hinged display — all three cause battery to drain a bit quicker. The phone has a 4400mAh battery that lasts a little over 9 hours on a full charge in standard mode with a 60Hz refresh rate. When we used the device in adaptive mode, the battery drained in 8 hours. However, the fast charging option can give a sigh of relief that charges the phone up to 50% in 30 minutes.

It is to be mentioned here that some Chinese smartphone makers are offering a phone that can be fully charged in 20 minutes. In such a situation, the charging thing might be a little disappointing.

Conclusion

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 review: It is a difficult question whether to buy this phone or not because the initial price of the device is ₹1.5 lakh, which is not easy for everyone to afford. But if you have a budget then it can be the best choice to buy to have a quite different and amazing experience. Currently, it is the best option in the Indian market.
