New Delhi: From April 1, 2020, only BS6 vehicles will be sold in the country and many companies have prepared for this. In this context, Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its first BS6 engined XUV300 SUV.
To prevent pollution in the country, automakers are introducing BS6 vehicles. From April 1, 2020, only BS6 vehicles will be sold in the country and the sale of BS4 vehicles will be banned completely, auto companies are launching BS6 vehicles before the deadline. In such a situation, Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its first BS6, XUV300 with a 1.2 liter petrol engine. The company has currently updated this engine.
Cost
Talking about the price, the price of the W4 version of BS6, XUV300 SUV starts from Rs 8.30 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.84 lakh, which is the price of its W8 model. All these prices are ex-show room.
“Milestone”
On this occasion, Rajan Vadhera, President – Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, said, We are happy to launch our first BS6 vehicle. This is an important milestone in the transformation of BS6. Despite strict deadlines, together with our suppliers, we met the challenging requirements of these strict emission norms well in advance of the set deadlines. We will progressively upgrade our entire range with cleaner emission technology.
Will be available in two engines
The Mahindra XUV300 is available in 1.2 liter turbo petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engines. Its petrol engine gives power of 110 PS while its diesel engine gives power of 115 PS. Both have a 6-speed manual transmission standard. The diesel engine also has an AMT option. This SUV was launched in February this year. The customer received a very good response in the first month. Both engines are equipped with 6-speed manual transmission. While AMT option is also available in the diesel engine.
