New Delhi: Royal Enfield, the famous motorcycle maker of India (Royal Enfield) has revealed that it has witnessed defects in some of its models. This malfunction is in the ignition coil due to which misfiring can cause an electric short circuit. Due to misfire, the performance of the vehicle can be reduced. In fact, this defect was detected when the company was doing routine internal testing.
Selected model will be recalled
Royal Enfield has reported that between December 2020 and April 2021, the company has separated the parts sourced from the external supplier. The company is taking the necessary steps to fix the malfunction. The company has said that it is recalling some selected models. Royal Enfield says that this problem is coming only in some motorcycles. The company is recalling 2,36,966 motorcycles here which include Classic, Bullet, Meteor and other models.
Defected parts will be replaced
Meteor motorcycle made between December 2020 and April 2021 will be recalled. Also, classic and bullet motorcycles made between January and April 2021 will be recalled. Inspections will be carried out to replace the defective parts. In which only 10 per cent part will be replaced. These motorcycles have been sold in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia.
