Gurugram-based drone manufacturer IoTechWorld Avigation along with other partners will conduct a Drone Yatra across the country to prove the utility of these devices in agriculture and make farmers’ work easier, the company told National Chronicle.

The company had also conducted similar Drone Yatra between July 15 and October 19 completing a journey of 11,000 kilometers across 13 states including Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Company’s founder Deepak Bhardwaj and co-founder Anoop Upadhyay said that a Drone Yatra will be organised next week at several places Pujan including Ludhiana, Amritsar, Bhatinda and Patiala. Before that, there is a plan to take out a big Drone Yatra in Pune with the famous agri chemical company Syngenta.

Bhardwaj said that this is a big program of farmers in which awareness will be created about the increasing utility of drone technology in agriculture. He said that the atmosphere of enthusiasm that is being seen in India regarding drone technology is amazing.

Significantly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has described drones a ‘game changer’ in agriculture. He had said that this smart device is going to become a part of our life in the form of drones for smart farming. His dream is that there should be drones in every field and the agriculture world should be happy everywhere. That is, technically modernisation of agriculture sector in the country is on the agenda of the central government.

The Prime Minister has already given this message after attending a big drone conference organised at Pragati Maidan to create awareness about the spraying of pesticides in the fields. Then he expressed hope that India would become the hub of drones by 2030. At the same time, it is proud for Make in India and it is also going to increase employment opportunities in future.

IoTechWorld Avigation is also working in this direction for creating awareness and organising Drone Yatras and farmer conferences in different parts of the country. Trying to tell farmers how drones are saving them time and money. How the yields are increasing and the income of the farmers is increasing.

The company claims that the drone revolution has now captured the hearts and minds of the farmers. In such a situation, we are expecting a big change in the development of agriculture sector. Upadhyay told National Chronicle that those who cannot buy a drone can also rent it at a very low price. In such a situation, drones are going to prove to be very useful for many works related to agriculture.
