The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has currently banned the issuance of new visas for travelers from 11 other countries, including Pakistan. India is not in these 12 countries. The Foreign Office of Pakistan confirmed the news on Wednesday, saying that the decision taken by UAE officials is believed to be related to the second wave of Corona virus in the country. However, there is no restriction on visas that have been issued earlier.

Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafiz Chowdhury has said that the UAE has temporarily suspended the issuance of new travel visas for 12 countries, including Pakistan, until further announcement. This decision by the UAE government has brought about the growing Kovid-19 cases in Pakistan. Apart from Pakistan, the UAE government has traveled to Turkey, Iran, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Libya, Kenya, and others in Afghanistan. Visa issuance is suspended.
2000 new cases of corona have been reported
In the last one week, 2,000 new cases of Corona virus have been reported in the country. Earlier in June, the UAE announced a temporary suspension of passenger services in Pakistan in view of the growing cases of corona. A total of 3,63,380 cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in Pakistan so far. The number of active cases in the country at present is 30,362.
There is another reason behind the visa
However, there are other reasons for this. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is said to have sharply criticized the UAE’s bilateral relationship with Israel. The UAE is very angry with this. This is the reason that he has started to ignore visas for giving visas to Pakistanis. At the same time, there is a danger of the Pakistanis being driven away from the UAE.
Pro-Palestinian Pakistanis are arrested
According to a report, pro-Palestinian Pakistani activists are being arrested in the UAE. In addition, law enforcement agencies have begun to take extra strict actions against ordinary Pakistani nationals residing in the UAE and are also being arrested and jailed for minor offenses.
