IPU PG Diploma: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has launched a Post Graduate Diploma Course for Fire Fighting Professionals. State Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, while launching the PG Diploma course in this fire fighting and safety audit, said that this is the first of its kind. The course will be conducted by the IP University’s Center of Disaster Management Studies (CDMS) in technical collaboration with the National Fire Service College, Nagpur.
Launching the PG Diploma Course in Fire Fighting and Safety Audit, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, “Fire and life safety has been one of the most challenging and urgent problems in our country. This has become more difficult in today’s scenario due to lack of public awareness in metropolitan cities and other urban areas and non-adherence to building codes. ”
“In such a situation, this is the first of its kind course launched by the university, which is the right step towards meeting the needs of security measures in the society. We want to give well trained fire professionals to the society so that they can contribute to the nation and save more lives, ”said the Deputy Chief Minister.
Manish Sisodia, who is also the education minister of the state, also appealed to the university that as the popularity of the course increases, it continues to develop and give it a dynamic look.
