The Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) today announced the dates for the JEE Main and NEET exams. JEE Main is scheduled to take place in multiple sessions from July 18 to 23, while NEET will take place on July 26. The JEE Advance is expected to take place in August.
Previously, the JEE Main 2020 April and NEET 2020 exams were postponed along with other competitive exams due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the country and the national blockade that was imposed as a preventive measure to contain the virus.
Human Resources Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, while interacting with students during a live session, announced that the April 2020 JEE Main exam date will take place from July 18-23 and the NEET 2020 exam date. It will take place on July 26.
He also said JEE advance dates will be announced later, but are expected to take place in August.

The National Evidence Agency (NTA) had previously deferred that the JEE 2020 Main Exam, which was scheduled to take place on April 5.7 and 11, had been rescheduled for the last week of May. The NEET exam, which was supposed to take place on May 3, was also postponed due to the extension in the closing period.
The NTA conducts NEET for those seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Veterinary, and other medical / paramedical courses in India. It is the only medical entrance exam taken for admission to the MBBS and BDS courses. The AIIMS and JIPMER MBBS exams have also been merged with the NTA NEET exam.
Previously, the NTA had also extended the last date for the correction of the application of both exams until May 3. Registered candidates can change or modify details on the completed JEE Main 2020 application form and the choice of exam cities on or before the above -Date defined.
JEE Main is held for students seeking admission to NIT, IIIT, and CFTI across the country. Candidates who qualify for JEE Main 2020 and are among the top 2.5 lakh score holders become eligible for JEE Advanced to gain admission to various undergraduate engineering programs offered by IIT in India.
Once the dates for the April JEE Main 2020 Exam and NEET 2020 Exam are announced, the NEET Admit Card 2020 and JEE Main Admit Card 2020 will also be released.
