Kasganj (Uttar Pradesh), April 16: In a shocking incident, a woman in Uttar Pradesh was shot dead by her disabled neighbor on Thursday afternoon. Others in the neighborhood recorded the entire incident on their mobile phones and the video clip went viral on social media.The incident took place in the village of Holdelpur, in the Kasganj district. The defendant was arrested and legal action could be taken against others to videotape rather than assist the victim.

In the video, the 62-year-old Jamvati woman is seen sitting outside her house, while neighboring Monu is seen crawling towards her and then shooting her from very close.The woman falls screaming and then Monu reloads his firearm and shoots the woman again. In between, he even admires his neighbors who urge him to stop.The woman died before they could take her to the hospital.ASP Pavitra Mohan arrived at the scene and conducted a house-to-house search in the village and arrested the accused.The woman has reportedly been living alone since her husband abandoned her three years ago.Monu wanted to grab his house and this was the motive behind the crime.ADG Ajay Anand said the matter was under investigation and that action would be taken against those who were filming the event rather than trying to prevent crime.
