A 20-year-old BA second year student of a college in the country’s capital Delhi jumped from the college building on Monday evening, after which she died. Police said, he left behind a suicide note in which he had written that he had committed suicide due to his illness.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Shweta Chauhan said that she got a call on Monday night at 8.09 pm. Immediately after which a team of police reached the college and came to know that the woman has already been taken to the nearest hospital. She was declared brought dead on arrival at the hospital.
Let me tell you, due to poor mental health of the student, the girl was forced to take such a step. Last month, she had told her professor and friends about her deteriorating mental state. The student had also said that her family members beat her. Due to the violence happening to him, his mental condition kept deteriorating. She also went to the psychiatrist but could not buy the medicine due to lack of money for the medicine.
DCP Chauhan told that the woman was a resident of Ganaur in Haryana. She was a second year student of BA Honors at Zakir Hussain College. His family members were informed about his death and his body was handed over to them after the post-mortem on Tuesday. Police said that investigation proceedings under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure have been initiated to ascertain the cause of death of the student.
