New Delhi: Coronavirus Cases Today: With 8,895 new cases of coronavirus, 2,796 patients have died due to corona in the past 24 hours, the data from the Ministry of Health suggested. A total of 263 patients have died in Kerala while Bihar alone reported 2,426 deaths taking the total number of fatalities to 2,796 in the country. The number of active cases in India has reached 99,155, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Earlier on December 4, a total of 415 people died of coronavirus while 8,603 new cases were registered.

The total death toll in the country has reached 4,73,326, while so far 40,60,774 patients have defeated this infection. It is to be mentioned here that the Omicron variant has also increased the concern of the authorities. The new variant is gradually spreading its feet in the country. Currently, a total of four people have been found infected with the Omicron variant of the coronavirus in the country. According to Saturday’s data Maharashtra and Gujarat reported one case of Omicron each. However, corona vaccination is being considered as the only treatment of this new variant. According to the latest data, a total of 1,227,61,83,065 vaccinations have been done across the country.
