The demand for the compact SUV segment in India is increasing continuously and in view of this, Hyundai is preparing to launch four new Hyundai Compact SUVs in the next 10-12 months. Currently the company sells Exter, Venue, Creta, Tucson and Alcazar in the Indian market. In the coming time, the company will introduce two new compact SUVs – Inster EV and Bayon Crossover along with bringing the new version of Venue and Exter. 1. New-Gen Hyundai Venue – Launch Date and Features
- Launch Date: 24th October 2025
- Design: The new Venue will come with a design inspired by the Creta.
- Features: Will be equipped with an updated cabin, premium interiors, and Level 2 ADAS.
- Engine Options:
- 1.2L Petrol + 5-speed manual
- 1.0L Turbo Petrol + 7-speed DCT
- 1.5L Diesel + 6-speed manual (likely to get iMT and automatic gearbox as well)
2. Hyundai Bayon – Maruti Fronx rival
- Launch: Mid-2026
- Engine:
- New 1.2L petrol engine with hybrid technology
- 1.0L Turbo Petrol (for higher trims)
- Size: The global version is 4.2 meters long but in India it will be kept under 4 meters to get tax benefits.
Competition: Directly against Maruti Fronx.
3. Hyundai Inster EV – Tata Punch EV rival
- Launch: Second half of 2026
- Battery options:
- 42 kWh (standard) – Range approx 300 km
- 49 kWh (long range) – Range approx 355 km
- Features:
- Automatic climate control
- Dual 10.25-inch displays (centre touchscreen + digital driver display)
- ADAS and 360-degree camera
Direct rival: Tata Punch EV
4. Hyundai Exter Facelift – With new features
- Launch: Mid-2026
- Updates: Cosmetic changes, new interiors and some first-time features
- Engine: 1.2L petrol (82 bhp, 114 Nm) – Same engine to continue.
