Hyundai Creta Electric to Launch Tomorrow, Prices to Be Announced at Auto Expo 2025—Discover the Range and Features

South Korean automaker Hyundai is set to launch the Hyundai Creta Electric in the Indian market on the first day of Auto Expo 2025. The company will unveil various features, including battery capacity, motor specifications, and the expected range of this SUV. Here’s what you need to know.

The Hyundai Creta Electric will be launched as an electric SUV tomorrow, showcasing numerous impressive features. It is anticipated to offer a range of approximately 500 kilometres.

*Features Overview*

The Hyundai Creta Electric will include several advanced features such as in-car payment, digital key access, shift-by-wire technology, single pedal drive, vehicle-to-load capability, advanced climate control, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, and a 10.25-inch dual curvilinear HD infotainment screen. It will also feature a digital instrument cluster, a cooled glove box, voice command support in 268 languages, a panoramic sunroof, Hyundai Bluelink connectivity, and interiors available in Granite Grey and Dark Navy. Additionally, it will offer Ocean Blue ambient lighting, a floating console, new alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, a wheelbase of 2610 mm, 8-way powered front seats, driver memory seating, 22 litres of frunk space, and 433 litres of boot space.

*Safety Features*

The Hyundai Creta EV will prioritise safety, utilising advanced high-strength steel in its construction. It will come equipped with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that feature 19 safety functions, including six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake (EPB), auto hold, hill hold assist, electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), ISOFIX child anchorages, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Additional safety features will include a surround view monitor (SVM), blind-spot monitor (BVM), rain-sensing wipers, and parking sensors.

*Battery Capacity and Range*

The company will offer two battery options for the Creta Electric. The 42 kWh battery will provide a range of 390 kilometres, while the 51.4 kWh battery will offer a range of 473 kilometres on a single charge. The motor will enable the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. The battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 58 minutes using a DC charger, while charging from 10% to 100% with an 11 kW wall box charger will take four hours.

The exact ex-showroom price of the Hyundai Creta Electric SUV will be revealed at the time of launch, but it is anticipated to be in the range of ₹20 to ₹25 lakh.

At Auto Expo 2025, the Maruti Grand Vitara Electric will also be launched, leading to a direct competition between the Hyundai Creta EV and other electric SUVs such as the Maruti Grand Vitara Electric, JSW MG ZS EV, and Tata Curvv EV.
