Jaipur’s B.Tech Student Avni Malhotra bags Microsoft Job with a package of ₹64.61 lakh

Jaipur Girl student Avni Malhotra has cracked the big job in a placement season of IIM Sambalpur at Microsoft with ₹64.61 lakh package. In a unique case, IIM Sambalpur has provided 100% placements to its MBA (2021-2023) batch and the top two students who have cracked jobs with highest packages belong to Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. Malhotra has successfully cracked the 5-6 rounds of interviews taken by Microsoft during her college placement and she was selected basis on her management skills plus her experience of working with Infosys for three years. She has also cleared her B.Tech in computer science and this helped her to impress upon the Microsoft team.
The student of IIM Sambalpur (Orissa), Malhotra said, “I am really thankful to IIM Sambalpur and the faculties who trained me throughout this rigorous journey. I would like to credit my success to my parents. My mother being teacher has always inculcated habits of perfection and father being a doctor has inspired me to master on my communication skills.”
IIM Sambalpur has concluded 100% final placements successfully for its MBA (2021-2023) batch with the highest package of ₹64.61 LPA (Domestic) and ₹64.15 LPA (International). The average salary is ₹16.64 LPA and the Median salary is ₹16 LPA for MBA batch 2021-2023. However, the average salary for female students is ₹18.25 LPA. The average for the top 10% of the batch is ₹31.69 LPA. The prominent recruiters are: Microsoft, Vedanta, Tolaram, Amul, Adani, EY, Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, and Amazon etc.
