Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (August 26, 2025) flagged off Maruti Suzuki’s first global electric car e-Vitara from Hansalpur in Gujarat. This Made-in-India electric SUV will be exported from India to more than 100 countries (including Japan).
Suzuki’s big investment
After the launch, Japan’s Suzuki Motor announced that it would invest ₹ 70,000 crore in India in the coming 5-6 years. This investment will be made to launch new models, increase production and maintain its strong share in the world’s third largest auto market.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Price
The price of this first electric car of Maruti in India has not been officially announced. But according to auto sector reports:
- Starting Price: It can start from around ₹17 lakh. According to some reports, it can also go up to ₹15 lakh.
- Top-End Price: For high-end variants and bigger battery options, the price can be ₹30 lakh or more.
- That is, the e Vitara price is expected to be between ₹17 lakh and ₹30 lakh in India.
Factors affecting e Vitara Price
1. Battery option:
The car will come in two battery variants – 49kWh and 61kWh. With a bigger battery, there will be more range and higher price.
2. Variant:
The price will be different in variants with different features and performance.
3. Launch Date:
The launch of e-Vitara in India is expected in September 2025. Only then will the company reveal the final price.
