Assembly Elections 2022: The Election Commission of India has declared the dates of polling for the Assembly elections in five states including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. The elections will be held in seven phases, and the results will be declared on March 10. Here’s all you want to know about the Assembly Elections 2022.

Election Commission declares dates to hold polling in five states —  Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur

Elections will be held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7.

The counting of votes will take place on March 10.

Uttar Pradesh

Seats to go for poll: 403

Phases: Six

Polling dates: February 10, 14, 20, 23 and March 3 and 7

Present Chief Minister: Yogi Adityanath (BJP)

Nominations dates: January 14, 21, 25, 27 and February 1, 4 and 10

Last dates to file papers:  January 21, 28 and February 1, 3, 8, 11 and 17 respectively

 

Punjab

Seats to go for poll: 117

Phases: One

Polling dates: February 14

Present Chief Minister: Charanjit Singh Channi (Congress)

Nominations dates: January 21

Last dates to file papers:  January 28

 

Uttarakhand

Seats to go for poll: 70

Phases: One

Polling dates: February 14

Present Chief Minister: Pushakar Singh Dhami (BJP)

Nominations dates: January 21

Last dates to file papers:  January 28

 

Goa

Seats to go for poll: 40

Phases: One

Polling dates: February 14

Present Chief Minister: Pramod Sawant (BJP)

Nominations dates: January 21

Last dates to file papers:  January 28

 

Manipur

Seats to go for poll: 60

Phases: Two

Polling dates: February 27 and March 3

Present Chief Minister: N. Biren Singh (BJP)

Nominations dates: February 1 and 4
