Anubrata Mandal is accused that even after giving 10 notices from the CBI, he did not appear. In such a situation, the CBI team arrested him on Thursday. According to the information, Anubrata had locked himself in a room located on the second floor to avoid arrest. But after hard work, CBI officials arrested him. Earlier, Anubrata was barred from appearing before the CBI citing health reasons.
CBI had issued summons 10 times for questioning
Anubrata Mandal is the Birbhum district president of Mamata Banerjee’s party TMC and has been in TMC for a long time. He was summoned 10 times by the CBI team for questioning in the animal smuggling case. But every time he was saving by making some excuse or the other. In such a situation, in the past, the CBI approached the court for his arrest. After taking the arrest warrant from the court, the team that reached his house on Thursday arrested him.
