New Delhi: Coronavirus update on March 21: Coronavirus cases are rapidly increasing in the country with over 43,000 infections reported in the past 24 hours. The country reported a total of 43,815 cases on Saturday while the number of recoveries was 22,970 and fatalities remain at 196. Here are the data from the 10 most infected states where the number of infected cases is increasing every day.
10 states with the highest number of cases every day
1. Maharashtra: Most patients found in a day
On Saturday, 27,126 people were found corona infected. This is the largest figure since Corona’s inception. Earlier on March 18, the corona was confirmed among the highest 25,833 people. In the last 24 hours, 13,588 patients recovered and 92 died. So far, 24.49 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 22.03 lakh patients have been cured, while 53,3008 infected have lost their lives. Currently, 1.91 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
2. Punjab: Over 2K cases for the fourth consecutive day
On Saturday, 2,587 people were found corona infected and 1,011 patients recovered and 38 died. So far, 2.10 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these 1.87 lakh patients have been cured, while 6,280 infected have lost their lives. Currently, 16,988 patients are undergoing treatment.
3. Kerala: Recoveries outnumber infected cases
On Saturday, 2,078 people were found corona infected and 2,211 patients recovered and 15 died. So far, 11.02 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 10.72 lakh have been cured, while 4,483 infected have lost their lives. 25,008 patients are undergoing treatment.
4. Karnataka: Active case close to 13,000
On Saturday, 1,798 people were found corona infected and 1,030 patients recovered and seven died. So far, 9.68 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 9.43 lakh patients have been cured, while 12,432 infected have lost their lives. Currently, 12,828 patients are undergoing treatment.

5. Gujarat: Over 1,500 cases came after 4 months
On Saturday, 1,565 people were found corona infected and 969 patients recovered and six died. The state has become so infected in one day after 4 months. Earlier, on November 29 last year, 1564 patients were found. So far, 2.84 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 2.74 lakh have been cured, while 4,443 patients have died. 6,737 are undergoing treatment.
6. Madhya Pradesh: More than 1,300 cases reported
On Saturday, 1,308 people were found corona infected and 571 patients recovered and two died. So far, 2.74 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 2.63 lakh have been cured, while 3,903 patients have died. 7,344 are undergoing treatment.
7. Chhattisgarh: Over 1K cases were found for the third consecutive day
On Saturday, 1,273 people were found corona infected and 7,693 patients recovered and 11 died. More than a thousand patients have been found here for the third consecutive day. There were 1,097 cases here on the previous day. So far, 3.23 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 3.11 lakh patients have been cured, while 3,940 infected have lost their lives. Currently, 7,693 patients are undergoing treatment.
8. Tamil Nadu: Nearly double the cases due to recovery
On Saturday, 1,243 people found corona infected and 634 patients recovered while eight died. So far, 8.65 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 8.45 lakh patients have been cured, while 12,590 infected have lost their lives. Currently, 7,291 patients are under treatment.
9. Haryana: More than twice as many new cases came from recovering people
On Saturday, 821 people were found corona infected and 368 patients recovered and three died. So far, 2.78 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 2.71 lakh patients have been cured, while 3,093 infected have lost their lives. Currently, 4,830 patients are undergoing treatment.
10. Delhi: 800 patients received for the first time this year
On Saturday, 813 people were found corona infected, and 567 patients recovered while two died. So far, 6.47 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 6.32 lakh have been cured, while 10,955 patients have died. 3,409 are undergoing treatment.
