New Delhi: Covid-19 case in India: The declining trend in the fresh cases of Covid-19 in the country continues on Monday. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, the lowest number of cases have been registered during the last 24 hours after March 24. This is the fourth day in the last 2 months when the death toll due to corona infection has been recorded less than 2,000. In India, 53,256 new cases of corona infection were reported in the last 24 hours and 1,422 infected people died. After this, the total number of cases in the country has gone up to 2,99,35,221 and the death toll so far is 3,88,135.
There are currently 7,02,887 active cases in the country. Let us tell you that the number of active cases in the country has gone below 8 lakh. According to the Ministry of Health, 78,190 people were discharged during the last 24 hours, after which the number of people who have recovered from the infection so far has reached 2,88,44,199. According to the ministry, at present, the daily positivity rate in the country is 3.83 per cent while the weekly rate is 3.32 per cent. At the same time, the recovery rate has gone up to 96.36 per cent.
As of March 24, 53,476 Covid-19 cases were registered in India. The vaccination campaign was started in the country on January 16 to prevent the deadly infection of coronavirus. Under this, doses of Covishield and Covaccine are given and now another vaccine, Russia’s Sputnik V, has also been added to it. A total of 28,00,36,898 people in the country have received the vaccine so far, out of which 30,39,996 people took the vaccine in the last 24 hours.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, till June 20, 39,24,07,782 samples were tested for corona, out of which 13,88,699 samples were tested only on Sundays.
