Delhi Excise scam: Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena had recently recommended a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Excise Policy 2021-22. He said that the CBI inquiry was recommended on the basis of the report given by the Chief Secretary of Delhi in July, which included the Government of National Capital Territory Act 1991, Working Rules (TOBR)-1993, Delhi Excise Act-2009 and Delhi Excise Act. It was said that there was a prima facie violation of Rule-2010.
According to officials, the report found that there was a deliberate and gross procedural lapse after the issuance of the tender to give undue advantage to those who had obtained liquor trading licenses. He said that a copy of the report has also been sent to the Chief Minister.
Delhi Excise scam: Sisodia, however, said he welcomes the CBI. He tweeted, “CBI has arrived. He is welcome. We are extremely honest. Making the future of millions of children. It is very unfortunate that those who do good work in our country are harassed like this. That is why our country has not yet become number one.
“We welcome the CBI. Will give full cooperation in the investigation so that the truth can come out soon. Till now many cases have been made against me, but nothing has come out. Nothing will come out of it either. My work cannot be stopped for good education in the country.
Delhi Excise scam: Sisodia refuted all the allegations and said that these people are upset with the excellent work in the field of education and health in Delhi, that is why they have arrested the Health Minister and Education Minister of Delhi, so that the good work of education and health can be stopped.
At the same time, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the CBI raid on Sisodia’s residence is the result of his good performance which is being appreciated globally.
