Delhi MCD Portal: MCD’s portal for birth and death certificates

The new portal for birth and death certificates created in the three municipal corporations in Delhi has become a cause of problems. Not only this, people face difficulties in obtaining birth and death certificates, but not about 25 thousand birth and death certificates are issued. Now, the corporation’s advisers have called for an improvement in this portal. On Monday, members of the government and opposition in the Southern Corporate Standing Committee raised the issue and called for a change in the portal. Along with this, there was a request to create a portal on the New Delhi City Council (NDMC) line. In this regard, 10-10 thousand applications are pending in the North and South Corporation areas, while five thousand applications are pending in East Delhi. People have been worried for the last two months.

OTP causes problems

Southern leader Sadan Narendra Chawla said the portal had caused so many problems. Janata Corporation expresses its dissatisfaction by visiting the advisers’ offices. He said that the registration of births and deaths in the hospital is done online, but when the family downloads these certificates, there is a problem when coming to OTP. Because when death or birth happens, people send any cell phone number to the hospital. The same number is recorded in the corporate records. When people download the birth and death certificate, they do not remember the registered mobile phone number, then they cannot get the certificate from it. Due to family disputes even in the event of the same death, other members do not receive the death certificate. Because the people of the house do not call each other OTP that comes on mobile.

Ease of applying online

In the portal, the three corporations offered citizens the opportunity to apply for birth and death certificates online. Although this process is quite difficult. Because this will hurt those people who are not familiar with the internet and computer technology. Also, the number of intermediaries who will apply will increase.
