Delhi Weather Updates: Monsoon blessings continue over Delhi. The weather has remained quite pleasant due to incessant rains. People got a lot of relief from the heat due to the rains on Friday in different parts. Due to rain, the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded four degrees below normal. The Meteorological Department has forecast that there may be light rain on Saturday as well. The department says that the weather will remain like this for the next few days. That is, it can rain even on weekends.
Chance of rain today and tomorrow
The Meteorological Department has forecast that light to moderate rain may occur in different parts of Delhi even on Saturday. During this time the wind speed is expected to be up to 12 kilometers per hour. Whereas, the temperature is likely to remain in the range of 33 to 26 degrees. Due to rain and monsoon winds, the air of Delhi has also remained consistently clean. The air quality index is in the ‘satisfactory’ category.
Weather will change next week
According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon activities in India will weaken for the next one week. This will happen due to the arrival of the monsoon trough in the middle of India. However, Delhi-NCR will remain partly cloudy during this period and there is a possibility of light rain. At the same time, according to Skymet, there is a possibility of rain for the next two days. After this, the humidity will disturb the people due to the sun coming out.
Temperature dropped by four degrees
Light to cloudy sky remained in most parts of Delhi since Friday morning. The clouds thickened as the day progressed. Light to moderate rain occurred in many areas of Delhi during the day. Due to this the temperature did not rise sharply and the weather remained pleasant. Delhi’s Standard Observatory at Safdarjung recorded the day’s maximum temperature of 30.4 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal. The minimum temperature was 26.5 degrees Celsius, which is the normal temperature at this time. The humidity level here ranged from 95 to 87 per cent.
