Govt to monitor people fleeing from quarantine with ‘smartband’

Corona virus infection cases have crossed 20 thousand in the country. At the same time more than 600 people have died. The government is quarantining people after the infection is confirmed. Many people are being self-quarantined, many people are being quarantined in the hospital under the supervision of doctors, but many are fleeing from the quarantine.

The government is preparing for wristbands to keep an eye on such people. This wristband is very much like a smartband which will have features like locking and tracking body temperature. The government has given information about this on Wednesday. The purpose of preparing smart wristbands is to track the quarantined people and help those who supply essential health services.

Besides Aarogya app, a device that tracks COVID-19

It is being said that the government has ordered thousands of wristbands to be prepared, although the exact figure has not yet been revealed. The company, named Broadcast Engineering Consultants India, will introduce wristbands for hospitals and state governments by next week and work with Indian start-ups to build them. The wristbands will also have an emergency button through which users will be able to seek help.

Company chairman George Kuruvilla said the wristbands were likely to roll out in May. The wristband will have a database of location of people quarantined. Let us know that before this, Hong Kong has used similar wristbands. Hong Kong has also used wristbands to monitor people’s travel abroad.

It is worth noting that earlier the government has launched the Aarogya Setu App which alerts people about the infection of Corona based on location. Apart from this, you can also know how much you are at risk of corona by giving symptoms by this app. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the countrymen to download the Aarogya Setu App. After the launch of the Aarogya Setu app, more than 60 million people have downloaded so far.
