Heartwrenching: 14-month-old baby dies of coronavirus in Gujarat


Ahmedabad: The case of the youngest death due to coronavirus has been reported in Gujarat. A 14-month-old baby has died in Jamnagar. On April 5, a 14-month-old infant died. The child was admitted to the hospital in Jamnagar on April 3. This was the child of a migrant family who came to work from outside the state. The doctors confirmed the coronavirus infection after an investigation.

After this, the child was put on a ventilator when the condition worsened. But due to coronavirus infection, the child’s organs started functioning. After which, on April 5, a 14-month-old child has died. According to the Department of Health, the case of the youngest person died of coronavirus.

175 people have been coronavirus infected in the state

So far 175 people have been infected in Gujarat. In the last 24 hours, 29 people have been affected by the disease. The maximum number of 83 people have been infected in Ahmedabad, 22 in Surat, 14 in Bhavnagar, 13 in Gandhinagar and 12 in Vadodara. Apart from this, 14 people have died in the entire state.

Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus infected people has been reached to 5,351 on Wednesday in the country amid the chorus over lockdown extension.
