Independence Day 2021: Uttar Pradesh is not BIMARU any more, says Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unfurled the tricolour flag in the Vidhan Bhawan courtyard in Lucknow on Sunday, on the 75th Independence Day of the country. CM Yogi Adityanath also congratulated all the people of the state on Independence Day after hoisting the flag today.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoisted the flag at the main gate of Vidhan Bhavan in Lucknow on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of the country. The Chief Minister congratulated all the people of the state on Independence Day. He said that hearty congratulations to all the people of the state on this great festival of independence. Hearty congratulations on the 75th Independence Day of the country. He said that I bow to the brave sons of Mother Bharati who became sacrifices in getting us freedom. Along with hoisting the flag today, CM Yogi Adityanath saluted all the freedom fighters while mentioning the role of the fighters of Uttar Pradesh in freedom.

He said that our country became independent in 1947 due to countless sacrifices. Many memorials of martyrs make us feel the freedom struggle of the country as the great pilgrimage of modern India. The collective fight that was fought for the independence of the country, forced the foreign rule to leave India in 90 years. Freedom became the mantra. In 1916, ‘Swaraj is our birthright’ was proclaimed by Lucknow. Rani Laxmi Bai in Jhansi, Mangal Pandey in Ballia, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, etc. The Amrit Festival of Independence is starting. It is also the centenary year of the Chauri Chaura incident. Ballia declared itself independent in 1942. In Meerut and Kakori also the light of revolution was awakened. The revolutionaries blew the bugle against the foreign rule. He said that the monuments built of the freedom struggle are a reminder of independence.

The Chief Minister said that I pay homage to the soldiers who sacrificed themselves in keeping the external and internal security of the country strong. It is a humble tribute to the jawans who maintain law and order that everyone should perform their duty in their area. Our duty is our religion in the context of the nation. Every citizen of the state should follow it so that the vision of New India can be realized. The Chief Minister said that now under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, all of us are seeing the dream of Naya Bharat Shreshtha Bharat being realized. Amrit Mahotsav is in our midst at the time of Corona. We are moving ahead while saving lives and livelihoods. Thanks to all the scientists who provided two vaccines in nine months. UP started the fight from zero and now four lakh corona tests are being done per day. The state presented a model that every citizen should get free treatment. It is the largest state to provide free vaccines to provide protection from Corona.

CM Yogi Adityanath said on this occasion that due to the continuous efforts of our government, Uttar Pradesh is turning from BIMARU state in four and a half years to a developed state oriented towards development. He said that we have found a way to save lives and livelihoods amid the global pandemic coronavirus infection. In four years, UP has emerged as the second economy of the country. We have a responsibility towards the country. We are working continuously under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Uttar Pradesh is on top in every scheme of the central government. 40 lakh people have got housing in Uttar Pradesh. UP has also been number one in providing PM housing. Efforts are on to carry forward the work that is left. Crop loan waiver, irrigation project, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana for farmers. The cane price was paid to 45 lakh sugarcane farmers. It is working to protect the honour of the food donors. Distribute ration to 15 crore people from the Prime Minister’s Garib Kalyan Yojana. The UP government made arrangements for food and allowances. In Eastern UP, children used to die from encephalitis since 1977. Unknown disease. Children from minority and Dalit families were dying. This went on till 2017. Now this havoc has been controlled in 38 districts including Eastern UP. The campaign to save the lives of children is progressing.

Yogi Adityanath said that riots, anarchy were the identity of UP. It is the largest state by population. Today the state has emerged as the first state to maintain law and order in the country. Investors are coming to UP for investment. Over four hundred crores of investment happened in four years. Four and a half lakh youth have been given jobs. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was completed on time. Gave respect to all the poor families.

The Panchayat elections were completed by CM Yogi Adityanath. The police administration carried out peacefully. Panchayats should now become the pivot of development. The civic committees did a better job in Corona. Congratulations to Anganwadi, ANM, Councillor, Pradhan and others. Health workers did a better job. I pay tribute to those who have lost their loved ones. I salute the corona warriors. To give a befitting reply to propaganda. The fight against Corona has to continue. Various programs have also been organized for women safety. Anti Romeo is now working as women power. Help those who have lost a parent. CM Yogi Adityanath reached the Vidhan Bhavan at exactly nine o’clock even after the threat of the dangerous terrorist organization Al Qaeda-backed terrorists as well as the banned Sikh organization. After hoisting the flag in the Vidhan Bhavan premises, he saluted the flag. Significantly, terrorist organizations have threatened serial blasts in big cities of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow on Independence Day. Along with this, the Sikh organization had given a direct threat to CM Yogi Adityanath that he would not allow him to hoist the flag.
