Lock-Unlock Delhi: Know what is going to open, what will remain closed

New Delhi: Unlock Delhi: In the national capital Delhi, around 400 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and the positivity rate has gone up to 0.5 per cent. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced to extend the lockdown till 5 am on June 14. He has also announced many relaxations in the restrictions of lockdown. According to the information, all markets, malls and market complexes (except weekly markets) will open in the national capital. Markets will open on an odd-even basis, which means any shop will be allowed to open on an alternate day. The timing to open the shop will be 10 am to 8 pm. At the same time, the Delhi Metro will run the trains with 50 per cent capacity.

There is a lot of confusion in Delhi about what is going to open from Monday, June 7. Here’s the complete detail.

These will open

Markets, malls, shopping complexes (from 10 am to 8 pm on an odd-even basis) will open.

Standalone shops and neighbourhood shops will open daily from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Private offices will open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with 50% of their capacity.

Government offices will also open. Class I officers will work with 100 per cent capacity and rest with 50 per cent capacity.

Metro will run with a 50 per cent capacity.

E-commerce companies can deliver goods at home.

These will remain closed

Gyms, Spas, Saloons, Entertainment Parks, Water Parks, Public Parks and Gardens, Assembly Halls, Auditoriums, Weekly Markets, Educational and Coaching Institutes, Cinemas and Theatres, Restaurants and Bars, Barber Shops, Beauty Parlors, Swimming Pools.

Preparations in full swing for the third wave

Arvind Kejriwal also gave details of the preparations for the third wave of the corona epidemic. He said that the Delhi government is preparing for the third wave. On Friday, he had two meetings with the concerned officials for six hours. The meeting was attended by two committee members who went to review the works. Kejriwal said that in the third wave, we are engaged in preparations assuming the peak of the corona to be 37,000. This has been decided after talking to the experts. If there are more cases than this, then we will handle them too.
