Lockdown Extension: PM Modi to take decision in today’s meeting

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is meeting with leaders of various parties through video conference from his official residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg on Wednesday. Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah are present with him. It is expected that in this meeting today a decision can be taken regarding the extension of the lockdown. The meeting began at 11 a.m. via video conferencing. A major point of discussion is the economic impact of the lockdown and how to deal with it. Sources said that the salary released to the states and the future of daily wage earners are also being discussed, which are being affected by this lockdown.

The current lockdown on the Corona virus ends on April 14.

It is expected that many big decisions can be taken today because Corona has become a big issue not only in India but worldwide. However, sources say that before April 11, no immediate announcement is likely. The current lockdown on the Corona virus ends on April 14. Government sources indicated on Tuesday that the government is considering requests by various Chief Ministers against ending the current lockdown on 14 April.
