New Delhi: Omicron cases In India: Four more cases of Omicron were reported in Hyderabad on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to seven in the state.
Three of those tested positive for Omicron were from Kenya while the fourth person is an Indian, who had come from ‘at risk’ country.
Three Omicron cases were reported on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain confirmed on Thursday that 10 cases of Omicron have been detected in the national capital so far.
“A total of 10 cases of the Omicron variant have been detected in Delhi so far. One of them has been discharged,” Jain said.
There are 40 people admitted to the special facility at Lok Nayak Hospital meant for isolating and treating suspected cases of the new Covid variant.
Of the 40 people, 38 are Covid-19 positive.
The new numbers have taken the national Omicron tally to 73.
