New Delhi: Rain alert: Heavy rain continues to wreak havoc in many states of the country. The people of the capital, who had been living in the heat for several days, got some relief on Tuesday morning after received a heavy rain. The Meteorological Department had predicted that some areas of Haryana and Rajasthan, including Delhi, would receive rain on July 27. The weather is about to take a turn in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar too. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with heavy rain in Bihar.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is anticipated in some parts of North India, especially Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next three days. For the next three days, there will be heavy rain in parts of North India and Northwest India. Scattered rain and thundershowers are very likely over Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh from Tuesday to Thursday. The IMD has predicted extremely heavy rainfall in the Himalayan states including Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on July 27 and 28. A similar situation is likely to be witnessed in some parts of Northwest Uttar Pradesh also on July 27. The IMD has issued a red alert for Tuesday and Wednesday in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and western Uttar Pradesh due to inclement weather.
On the other hand, in many districts of UP, as soon as the beginning of Sawan, heavy rains are being seen. Similarly, light to moderate rain at one or two places may occur over Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Kerala. Apart from this, light rain may occur over Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Heavy to heavy rain alert in these states for three days
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a threat of heavy rains in some parts of North India, especially Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next three days. For the next three days, there will be heavy rain in parts of North India and Northwest India. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be heavy to very heavy rains in West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand from Wednesday to Friday and in Bihar on Thursday. IMD has issued a red alert for Gangetic West Bengal on Wednesday and Thursday and Jharkhand only for Thursday.
Alert of heavy rain for 2 days in these districts of Uttar Pradesh
The Meteorological Department has said that some districts of UP may see heavy rains for two days. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Saharanpur, Muzaffarpur, Bijnor, Amroha, Rampur, Bareilly in western Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, heavy rain warnings have also been issued in several disticts fo West UP including Meerut, Baghpat, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Etah, Kasganj on July 27 and July 28.
It is raining in Delhi, orange alert issued
The IMD had on Sunday issued a yellow alert for Monday in Delhi and predicted a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain or thundershowers in the evening. The department has issued an orange alert for Tuesday and has expressed the possibility of rain with strong winds.
Chances of rain in Bihar for three days
Monsoon is going to be active once again in Bihar. Monsoon trough was passing through southern part of Bihar on Sunday. It is likely to gradually shift towards the northern part. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of rain at many places of Central and North Bihar including Patna during the next 24 hours. During the next 48 to 72 hours, rain, thunder and lightning have been forecast at many places across the state. According to Meteorologist Sanjay Kumar, there is a possibility of good rain due to the trough line passing through Bihar. In view of the activity of monsoon, ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued by the Meteorological Department for East-West Champaran, North-West, North-East, South-East, South-West districts of the state till July 30.
