School Reopening News: Schools to open in Assam from January 1, check details here

Most states, including the capital Delhi, have decided to keep the schools closed for now in view of rising cases of corona virus. Apart from this, many states have closed them again after school. However, there are some states that have allowed schools to reopen. Assam has announced the resumption of primary schools from 1 January 2021. At the same time, the Delhi government says that schools will remain closed until the corona vaccine is introduced.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made the announcement on Monday, saying that the primary schools in the northeastern state would resume from January 1, 2021. The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) related to the reopening of schools will be released soon. Earlier this month, the Health Minister directed the state education department to allow students of classes 6 and above to attend school. Parental consent is required for coming to school. In addition to this, all schools must strictly follow the Corona Protocol.

Unless the vaccine, no school

Amid growing Corona infection in Delhi, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that schools will not be opened until the vaccine is introduced. He said that starting school at this time would be like pushing children towards Corona. The aim of the government is to save people. People are being appealed to take precaution.

Schools will remain closed till 31 December

The school education department has issued an order declaring a holiday till December 31 in schools from first to eighth. At the same time, classes from ninth to 12th will be partially held. Children have to bring a letter of consent of parents to go to school for guidance from teachers. The department’s Deputy Secretary Pramod Singh has also written in the instructions that classes will continue in digital mode as per the guidelines given earlier.

New guidelines issued

The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Sunday reviewed the corona virus situation. Issuing guidelines related to this, the administration said that all educational institutions will remain closed till December 31. It states that all schools, colleges, higher educational institutions (including Anganwadi centers) etc. will remain closed till 31 December. Central and state government-run training institutes will remain open.
