These Mail-Express Trains May run from April 15

Long distance selective Mail-Express trains can be run on major raiway tracks amid fears of an extended lockdown period. The government believes that it has become important to bring lakhs of migrants trapped in big cities of the country including Delhi to their homes.

All the divisions and zonal headquarters have submitted the action plan to run the train from 15 April to the Railway Board. The board is waiting for the green signal from the central government.

A railway board officer said that the group of ministers formed on the corona virus discussed the lockdown on Tuesday. Most ministries and states have demanded an extension of the lockdown period. In such a situation, there has been a discussion on running the train in a phased manner to reach the millions of people trapped in different states of the country. All 68 divisions and 17 zonal headquarters have sent an action plan to run the train from April 15 to the Railway Board.

Railways will make one thousand PPE every day

Railways have now set a target of making about one thousand personal protective equipment (PPE) in its 17 workshops every day. Railway has got approval to make PPE from Defense Research and Development Organization. PPE will provide necessary protection to railway physicians and paramedical staff engaged in the treatment of corona virus in railway hospitals.

Special parcel train started in Rajasthan

The special parcel train was launched on Tuesday to carry important goods between lockdowns. The Chief PRO of North Western Railway said that its purpose is to carry the necessary material. The train will run from 7-14 April. It will return from Jaipur to Alwar, Hisar, Sirsa, Hanumangarh, Suratgarh, Bikaner, Nagaur, Jodhpur, Pali and Ajmer.
