Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today held a press conference on plasma therapy on four patients of Corona at LNJP Hospital. In it, they reported that four patients underwent plasma therapy in LNJP, which was largely successful. He was given therapy on Tuesday.

Kejriwal said, “We have tried a plasma test on 4 patients of LNJP Hospital, the results so far are encouraging.” He asked more and more people to donate blood for this. He said that by donating plasma you can save many lives.

He told that about ten days ago we got permission from the Central Government that we can trial it on the most serious patients of LNJP Hospital. Talking about plasma therapy, he said that the corona patients who recover and go home, remove their plasma and put it in the infected patients, then they can be cured.

We used this therapy on four severely corona victims of LNJP. He said that the results are very encouraging. The Chief Minister then invited Dr. Sarin of ILBS Hospital to explain the whole thing.

Doctor SK Sarin was monitoring this entire process. Doctor Sarin told that this is a chronic therapy because we do not have any treatment or vaccine for it so we used this therapy to neutralize corona infection.

Lockdown 2.0: US, China start plasma therapy to beat COVID-19; Will India go for it!

What did sarin say

  • First- the virus phase, when the virus enters the body
  • Second- Pulmonary phase in which the virus attacks the lungs and causes respiratory problems.
  • Third – Cytokines are released, in which the body fights with the virus and can kill it.

Dr. Sarin said that if the patient comes to the hospital in the third phase, then his organ may fail due to which he may die. If the patient comes to the hospital in the second phase when his lung is infected but the rest of the organ is working. In that stage, if we give plasma therapy, then the patient can be cured because in the first stage, the disease does not come into play.
