West Bengal Election 2021: Mamta Banerjee discharged from hospital, Suvendu Adhikari files nomination from Nandigram

West Bengal Election 2021

Kolkata: West Bengal Election 2021: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday discharged from the hospital. She was admitted to Kolkata’s SSKM Hospital after receiving injuries in her left leg during a rally on March 10.

“The treatment had a good effect on Mamta Banerjee. She has been discharged from the hospital with appropriate guidelines due to her repeated requests. She has been advised to get re-examined after seven days,” the hospital administration said.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari filed his nomination from Nandigram, the hot seat of the West Bengal elections. Close competition is expected between Adhikari and Banerjee, who will also contest the Assembly polls from here.

At the same time, TMC MPs tied black bandage to meet the Election Commission regarding the alleged attack on Mamta. The TMC demanded a high-level inquiry. On the other hand, Congress has released the list of 30-star campaigners for the Bengal elections.

Interestingly, the political pundits believe that the TMC chief might get benefit from the incident in the form of “sympathy votes”.
