New Delhi: Tablighi Jamaat has caught the attention of the world after a program of it held at the Nizamuddin Markaz that resulted in a drastic increase of coronavirus positive patients in India. It all started with March 13 when around 3,500 people gathered at the Markaz as a part of religious gathering. On March 16, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal banned any kind of such gathering till March 31. Since then everything went wrong and chief of Tablighi Jamaat Maulana Muhammad Saad Kandhalvi went missing, and a search for him is still on.

Ilyas also put forward the slogan, “O Muslims, become Muslims!”.

The most shocking fact about the Tablighi Jamaat is, there are no women members in it. Yes, you read it right… it’s a purely men’s brigade.
