Nutanix has appointed Jay Tuseth as its new vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). Tuseth, who previously held the role of vice president for Asia Pacific at real-time performance analytics company Conviva, brings over 25 years of experience in the IT sector.
In his new role, Tuseth will report to Andrew Brinded, chief revenue officer at Nutanix. He steps into the position following the promotion of Aaron White, who moved from APJ vice president of sales and general manager to field chief operating officer for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in November last year.
Tuseth has an extensive background in leadership roles across major technology firms. Before his tenure at Conviva, he served as vice president for cloud applications at Oracle and held senior positions at Dell Technologies. Earlier in his career, he worked at Hewlett-Packard (HP) as a district sales manager.
At Conviva, he collaborated with digital businesses and operations teams, helping them transition their focus from quality of service to quality of experience. His expertise in cloud computing, enterprise solutions, and digital transformation is expected to support Nutanix’s strategic growth across the APJ region.
Tuseth earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems from Regis University in the United States.
His appointment follows Nutanix’s recent launch of Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on Microsoft Azure in Qatar. This solution enables businesses in the region to seamlessly integrate their existing on-premises infrastructure with the Microsoft Azure cloud, enhancing scalability, performance, and regulatory compliance. The introduction of NC2 on Azure addresses increasing demand from Nutanix and Microsoft customers for a hybrid cloud solution that ensures flexibility and smooth integration between on-premises and cloud environments.
With Tuseth now at the helm of Nutanix’s APJ operations, the company aims to strengthen its regional presence, drive cloud adoption, and support enterprises in their digital transformation initiatives.
