Sundar Pichai, the chief executive of the world’s tech company Google, has been promoted. Google has appointed Sundar Pichai as CEO of parent company Alphabet, as the company’s co-founder Sergey Brin relinquished the post for some reason. However, after the new changes, Sergey Brin and other co-founder Larry Page will continue to be the shareholders and board of directors of the company.
In 2015, Google changed Alphabet to Alphabet. Alphabet is a group of different companies. The company distinguishes Google from companies such as the Waymo (automated car) Verily (bioscience) Calico (biotech R&D) sidewalk lab (urban innovation) and Loon (internet availability in rural areas with balloon support).
