Coronavirus: Xiaomi and Realme cancel smartphone launch event

In this new year, many big technology events have been canceled due to Coronavirus, including MWC 2020, GDC 2020, F8, Microsoft and Google events. Apart from this, the events in India were also canceled. Xiaomi was scheduled to host the Redmi Note 9 smartphone on March 12, which was canceled. At the same time, Realme also canceled the launch event of its Realme 6 series in Delhi. Please tell that these days companies will stream the launch event live through online channels.

Xiaomi’s Global Vice President Manu Kumar Jain told through his social handle and the company’s official social account that the Redmi Note 9 series to be held on March 12, keeping in mind the cases facing Coronavirus in different parts of India Launch event is being canceled. We have taken this decision after taking care of the health of Mi Fans, friends and employees of the media. This smartphone will be launched through online channels at 12 noon on March 12.

Madhav Seth, CEO of Realme has also announced the cancellation of the launch event of Realme 6 series to be held on March 5 from his social handle. Madhav Seth wrote on his social account that in view of the latest cases of coronavirus and keeping in mind the advisory issued by the health authorities, the event is being canceled. The launch event of this smartphone will also be streamed live through the company’s official social media channels.
