Delhi Auto Expo 2020: Reliance Jio introduces connected car technology

Reliance Jio showcased its connected car technology during the ongoing Delhi Auto Expo 2020 in Delhi. Reliance Jio is the first telecom company in the country to enter the smart-automobile segment. Reliance Jio is gradually moving towards Internet of Things (IoT) service after cellular service.

During the Delhi Auto Expo 2020, hardware connectivity like Component Reveal of Connected Car Technology introduced by Reliance Jio has been introduced. Reliance Jio takes full care of data security along with the requirements of service users.

Reliance Jio said that it is in talks to partner with automobile manufacturing companies and companies engaged in transportation, regarding its technology. However, the company has not officially announced anything yet.

Through connected car technology, the user gets a lot of functionality. With their help, the driving is not only easy but also safe. Through this service, users get notifications about fuel usage, notifications for over speed and also for possible accidents. Along with this, it also helps users in route management and vehicle telemetrics and diagnostics.

The growing number of electric and hybrid vehicles in the country will give a boost to the concept of connected cars in the coming days. Currently, few vehicles in India have connected car technology. In the coming days, there may be a partnership between the telecom companies and automobile companies for the connected car.

Let us tell you that in October 2019, for the Kite seltos launched in India, there was a partnership between Vodafone-Idea and South Korean company Kia Motors in October 2019. The Kia Seltos has 37 smart features like AI voice commands, Stollen vehicle tracking, and IM-mobilization.
