New Delhi: On the Universal Account Number (UAN) portal, the members of the Employees Provident Fund can get the details of the details available in the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) by making a missed call from their registered mobile number on 011-22901406. This facility has been started. This information will also include KYC information in addition to PF contribution and balance. This facility can also be availed without a smart phone.
Union Ministry of Labor and Employment gave information
The Union Ministry of Labor and Employment has stated that if the account holder’s UAN is linked to any one bank account, Aadhaar and PAN, the member can take his final contribution and details of provident fund account in this manner.
To avail this facility, the member’s UAN must be activated in the Unified Portal.
How to avail this facility
According to the ministry, a missed call from the registered mobile number on 011-22901406 will ring twice. After this, the phone will automatically disconnect. This service is available free for members. These services can also be availed from non-smart phones. The facility of receiving information from missed call and SMS service for provident fund savings and final payment is also available on the Umang app.
Can also avail the facility through SMS
Apart from this, active members of UAN can get information about savings and latest PF contribution available with EPFO by sending an SMS to 7738299899 from their registered mobile number. Members are required to send an SMS to 7738299899 by writing ‘EPFOHO UAN’. If anyone wants this information in Telugu, then they have to write ‘EPFOHO UAN TEL’ and send it to SMS 7738299899. Similarly, for other languages, three letters have to be written in English at the end.
This facility is available in 10 languages. It is available in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali.
