How to make hand sanitizer at home
One very important point to note before you start making your own sanitizer at home. Isopropyl alcohol is highly flammable and will burn your skin. Therefore you should avoid getting your hands in direct contact with it. You should use nitrile gloves to use caution. Once you are ready to get started, here’s what you need to do:
1. You have to use isopropyl alcohol. You will easily find it in any medical store. Medical equipment is also disinfected through this.
2. Pour aloe vera gel into bowl. Since hand sanitizer needs to contain at least 60% alcohol to be effective, you ideally have to add a 2: 1 ratio of isopropyl alcohol to aloe vera gel. For every 2oz of isopropyl alcohol, you should add 2 oz of aloe vera gel.
3. If necessary, you can add essential oil in the mixture, this will give fragrance to the hand sanitizer. If you like a particular smell, you can add a few drops of oil.
4. Stir the contents well with a spoon and pour into plastic bottles using a funnel. Your hand sanitizer is ready to use.
