New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp can discontinue its first scooter Hero Pleasure. The company has removed from the website, after which it is believed that the scooter which has been in production for about 14 years has now said goodbye. However, Hero launched a new model named Pleasure Plus last year. With this new scooter, the company has already filled the place of first-generation Pleasure scooter.
The first-generation Pleasure scooter was launched in 2006 under the joint venture of Hero Honda under the name Hero Honda Pleasure. At the time of its launch, it was one of the highest capacity scooters in its segment. It was one step ahead of scooters like TVS Scooty Pep, Kinetic Jing and Bajaj Spirit at the time.
These scooters had an engine around 80 cc, while the Pleasure had a 102 cc engine. The 102 cc engine found in the first-generation Pleasure is old and is expected to be upgraded to BS6.
