Sanitizers and Masks will not be a burden on pocket, the government has taken these steps

New Delhi: The government has fixed the price of sanitizer and face mask to prevent the outbreak of Corona virus in the country. Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan gave this information through a tweet on Friday. He said that since the outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid-19), the market has seen a huge rise in the prices of various face masks, materials used in its manufacture and hand sanitizer. Therefore, the government, taking it seriously, has fixed their prices.

The central government has fixed the price of two and three ply surgical face masks and hand sanitizers.

Paswan said, ‘Under the Essential Commodities Act, the cost of fabric used in 2 and 3 ply masks will remain the same as it was on 12 February 2020, the retail price of three ply masks is eight rupees per mask and the price of three ply masks is 10. Shall not exceed rupees per mask.

The Union Minister said, ‘The retail price of a 200 mL bottle of hand sanitizer will not exceed Rs 100. Other sizes of bottles will also be priced in the same proportion. These prices will be applicable throughout the country till 30 June 2020.

Coronavirus has killed more than 10,000 people worldwide so far and this deadly virus has killed four people in India. There have been more than 200 cases of coronavirus infection in the country so far.
