Skoda’s first electric SUV will be named Enyaq, know the meaning of this name

New Delhi: Skoda Auto has announced its first electric SUV. The company’s SUV will come in the name of Enyaq. According to the company the Enyaq is an Irish language and expresses the mobility and efficiency of the vehicle. Enyaq has opened a chapter in the 125-year history of the Skoda brand. It will be Skoda’s first electric car to be built on the MEB platform and will also launch a new family called this model. Skoda already has an electric car named the Citigo iV. Because of this it is not new in the electric vehicle space.

Skoda always ends the name of its SUV with the letter Q.For this reason, the letter Q is also present at the end of the new Enyaq. The remaining Skoda SUVs are named Kamiq, Kodiaq and Karoq. But the first letter of this new model is merging with the eMobility era, such as the E letter at its beginning. The name Enyaq is derived from Enya, which means the source of life.

At the same time, there is so much information about this electric SUV, but the company is soon to begin its journey in the electric mobility space and that too with an SUV. Recently Skoda AUTO India introduced its 5 seater premium SUV Skoda Karoq on the second day of the Auto Expo 2020 running in Greater Noida adjoining Delhi. Skoda AUTO India introduced many more vehicles and concept models at this event. This premium 5 seater SUV is designed on Volkswagen’s MQB (Modularer Querbaukasten) platform. The Tiguan and T-ROC that were introduced in this Volkswagen auto expo are also designed on the same platform.
