SSC JE 2020 Exam: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has postponed the Combined Higher Secondary Exam, Junior Engineer, Stenographer and other examinations. The Commission said that all these examinations have been postponed till further orders. Explain that this decision has been taken by the Commission because of the coronavirus epidemic spread across the country. The SSC has issued a notification in this regard.
This notification states that the Commission has taken this decision keeping in mind the rules of lockdown and social distancing. Under this, skill tests for Combined Higher Secondary Exam, Junior Engineer, Stenographer Grade C and D Examination and Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination have also been postponed. Now the decision on these exams will be taken after May 3.
The reason is the centres of all these exams, for which the candidates have to travel from different parts of the country. Therefore, the Commission has said that the examination dates will be announced based on the situation after the lockdown. At the same time, the dates will be released on the official website of the commission, ssc.nic.in and the website of the regional and sub-regional office of the commission.
Apart from this, SSC will also review the annual calendar for other examinations. The SSC has decided to give one day salary of all officers and staff people to the PM Cares fund.
Earlier in the meeting of the Union Public Service Commission, the chairman and members together have decided that they will give 30 per cent of their basic salary to the PM Cares fund for the next one year. This will be applicable only from April 2020. Apart from this, all the officers and staff of the Commission will also voluntarily donate their one day salary to the PM-Cares fund. The Commission has also taken this decision because of the damage caused by the coronavirus epidemic spread across the country.
