New Delhi: A researchers have created a new device that will perform chemical tests on foods to identify the dangerous bacteria present in it. With the help of this device, foodborne diseases will be prevented from spreading. This research was published in the journal Applied Optics. These devices carry chemical reactions to the smartphone or laptop to inform whether E. coli bacteria is present in the food. According to researchers at Produce University of America, this device uses light to identify E. coli bacteria. The device has an electrical circuit with a signal amplifier. This device sends information to laptops and smartphones with the help of Bluetooth technology.
