Delhi Metro Collapse: A major accident took place on the Pink Route of Delhi Metro on Thursday morning. A part of the side wall of the platform of Gokulpuri metro station collapsed and fell on the road. The traffic was moving when this accident occurred. According to reports, a pedestrian is reported injured in this accident. Information about how many people have been affected by this accident is not yet known. The surprising thing is that the pink route of Delhi Metro has been newly created. In such a situation, questions are being raised on the quality of construction of the metro station.
Delhi Metro Collapse: Fire brigade and NDRF teams on the spot
Everything was going on normally at Delhi’s Gokulpuri metro station till Thursday morning. At around 11 o’clock in the afternoon, suddenly a part of the station platform wall started falling onto the road below. During that time traffic was moving on the road. Since the part that broke from the platform was the side wall, most of the debris fell on the roadside. Due to this many people were saved from getting affected by it.

News of one person injured
Delhi Metro Collapse: As soon as information about the accident was received, four teams of fire brigade reached the spot. NDRF was also called to the spot immediately. So far, it is coming to light that one man has been injured in this accident. A video of the incident is also being viral on the social media and other internet platforms. In the video, a lot of debris is seen scattered under the station. Barricading has been done near the metro station. The work of clearing debris from the road is going on.

Delhi Metro Collapse: After the accident, DMRC stopped the operation of metro on this route between Shiv Vihar and Gokulpuri. The extent of damage caused to the metro platform is being investigated. There may be some clarification from the Metro regarding whether Gokulpuri station of Metro will remain operational in the coming days.
