Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s Purushottam Ajmera aka Rituraj Singh dies at 59

Famous TV actor Rituraj Singh suddenly passed away due to heart attack on Monday night. 59-year-old Rituraj has been known for his versatile roles including Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai serial’s Purushottam Ajmera. He was suffering from pancreatic disease for some time.

According to a media report, Rituraj’s close friend and fellow actor Amit Bahl confirmed the demise of the TV actor.

Rituraj (Purushottam Ajmera) was recently admitted to the hospital and was battling challenges arising from pancreatic disease. Despite being discharged a few days ago, he died untimely at around 12:30 am on Monday at his residence.

The news of Rituraj’s demise has caused disappointment in the entertainment world. Meanwhile, his colleagues expressed their grief on social media. Actor Arshad Warsi in an emotional tweet mourned the loss of a friend and a brilliant.

Hansal Mehta, who directed Rituraj (Purushottam Ajmera) in the TV serial ‘K Street Pali Hill’, shared memories of their friendship. Mehta expressed disbelief over Rituraj’s sudden death. He also described Rituraj as an untouched actor and a warm-hearted person.

Meanwhile, film director Vivek Agnihotri posted a touching picture expressing his grief over the death of Rituraj (Purushottam Ajmera). He emphasized the lasting impact of the actor’s contributions, writing, “Artists never die.”

Ruturaj’s legacy of talent extends far beyond television, encompassing a variety of shows and films. From ‘Banegi Apni Baat’ to ‘Laado 2’, he created a distinct identity for himself in the world of entertainment.
