Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), a leading power utility supplying electricity to a populace of 7 million in North Delhi, has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Gold Winner Award’ in Power Sector Category. The award was presented to Tata Power-DDL by Occupational Health and Safety Expert Committee of Indian Chamber of Commerce during the 5th ICC National Occupation Health and Safety Awards 2023 ceremony held in Kolkata recently.
The award was received by Deepak Kumar Chugh, AGM — SHE&DM and Anshul Rawat, Team Member — SHE&DM from Andalib Elias, Deputy High Commissioner, Bangladesh in the presence of Barun K Ray, IAS, Addl Chief Secretary, Department of Labour, Government of West Bengal, Moloy Ghatak, Minister-in-Charge, Labour Department, Government of West Bengal and Krishna Nirmalya Sen, Chairman, ICC OHS Committee.

At the National Occupational Health and Safety Awards, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) recognizes the Best Practices of organizations in the sphere of Occupational Health and Safety Practices and Management at the workplace every year. Tata Power-DDL was selected the ‘Gold Winner’ after a rigorous screening process by a high-powered ICC OHS committee comprising of experts from various industries.

The company considers Occupational Health and Safety as top priority and follows its Annual Safety Plan (ASP) with utmost sincerity. The company releases the ASP at the beginning of the financial year and all the departments implement the same in letter and spirit. The Safety Management System of Tata Power-DDL is ISO 45001 and ISO 22301 certified.
